The East Central Link is published by Chesser Publishing, LLC. We are local, family owned business and fell in love with this community 10 years ago when we moved here. We are striving to make sure that East Central continues to be a great place to live for generations to come!

Sir Isaac Newton is our puppy who is training to be a newspaper delivery service dog. He just graduated from Intermediate training class and is beginning his advanced class in May. As soon as he turns a year old, he can take his test to become a real service dog! Watch for his column on the Kool Kidz page of the newspaper "Travels with Newton"

Who We Are 

The East Central Link / Chesser Publishing is owned and operated by Cherie Chesser & family of Hurley, MS. Cherie is a former homemaker, admin assistant., assistant teacher, who decided to try her hand in Newspaper Publishing... Shawn is retired from the U.S.Navy and is now a science teacher at East Central High School. A lot of times he gets stuck with th grunge jobs of the newspaper business. Cierra is a 11th grader at ECHS and helps a lot with all areas of publishing, research, and secretarial duties. You will find her at the office after school and on Saturdays. Jake and Nick are twins in the 7th grade at East Central Middle. Jake is the bookworm of the family and we consider ourselves lucky if he sticks his nose out long enough to say "hi"! Nick is the outgoing one who is always ready with a funny joke!
